Application Review

This is where we assess your experience and fit, which normally takes us 3-5 days. Make sure your CV highlights the impact of your work, not just your responsibilities.

Preliminary Screening Call

A recruiter or someone from our hiring team will chat with you about your background, expectations, and what excites you about the role. This is a great time to ask about the team culture, growth opportunities, and company mission.

Take-Home Test

You’ll receive a practical challenge to showcase your skills directly in relation to the role you are interviewing for.

Take-Home Test Review

Our team will review your work and provide feedback (depending on the role we may do this in person). If you don’t pass, ask for feedback… We want to help you grow.

Skills Interview

You’ll meet with team members for a deep dive into your expertise and how you approach your work. Be prepared to talk about past challenges and how you solved them.

Cultural Interview

We’ll discuss values, collaboration, and what excites you about working at Shapr3D. We’re as interested in your mindset as in your skills—come ready to talk about what motivates you!

How can I prepare for my interview?

  • Know what excites you. Why does this role interest you? How does it align with your skills and career path?

What if I don’t have CAD experience?

Not a dealbreaker! We’re looking for problem solvers who can adapt and learn quickly. Show us how you think and how you’d approach learning CAD if needed.

What do I need to know about interview logistics?

  • Your interview experience with us will likely start online, but if you progress to later stages, we’d love to meet you in person at our office.
  • We truly believe that meeting face-to-face makes a difference—it’s the best way for us to get to know you, and for you to experience our culture firsthand. Our office is in the heart of Budapest, easy to reach, and an incredible space to collaborate. It’s open-plan, has a great energy, and reflects our dynamic way of working.
  • When it comes to what to wear, don’t stress. We don’t have a dress code. What matters to us is who you are, your ideas, and what you bring to the table.
  • Since we’re an in-office company, working together in person is key to how we innovate and grow. If you need any help with travel arrangements to get here, just let us know—we’re happy to assist!

What should I keep in mind during my interview?

  • Be yourself- Authenticity is key. We want to get to know the real you, and you should also feel comfortable being yourself. If this role and our culture are the right fit, you’ll thrive here. If not, that’s okay too, finding the right match benefits everyone.
  • Be specific- in your answers concrete examples help us understand your skills, thought process, and problem solving approach. Instead of general statements, share real experiences that highlight your impact and how you handle challenges.
  • Be engaged – Listen actively, respond thoughtfully, and show enthusiasm. Good interviews feel like great conversations, so let your personality and passion for your work shine through.
  • Be adaptable – Every role comes with challenges, and we value candidates who are open to feedback, learning, and growth. Share examples of how you’ve adapted, learned from mistakes, and tackled new situations.
  • Most interviews take 30-60 minutes, but we’ll let you know in advance.
  • What if I don’t know the answer to a question? We don’t expect perfect answers—we value honesty and problem-solving. If you don’t know something, tell us how you’d figure it out.
